In this article, New Orleans is examined five years later after Hurricane Katrina. Due to the hurricane, many people lost their lives and their homes and New Orleans had suffered a lot of damage. Now five years later, New Orleans is finally starting to get back on its feet and the tourism industry is finally starting to prosper.There are now 70,000 of the 85,000 jobs recovered in the tourism industry since 2005.
